Flexavision System

Flexable remote controlled I.I. & digital flouro systems.

Thanks to a wide variety of R/F table types, high-voltage generators, X-ray tubes, Image Intensifier (II) sizes, digital processing units and DR, Flexavision allows you to create an optimal system that accommodates both your patient throughput requirement and all your examination types.

Even though the system is compact, its rapid movement and wide patient coverage allows for precise positioning in the area of interest. This ensures easy selection of the optimal system for both standard gastrointestinal, thoracic, and abdominal examinations, as well as specialized nonvascular IVR, urological and orthopaedic examinations.

The Shimadzu Flexavision product range provides an excellent selection of Fluoroscopy systems to best match your requirements.

This includes:

Flexavision F3 - A fully digital fluoroscopy system incorporating a portable dynamic Flat Panel Detector (FPD).
Flexavision F3 System......

Flexavision DR Package - An I.I. based system with digital fluoroscopy and a Spot Film Device for DR based radiography. An integrated Digital Imaging System provides digital series and spot imaging with DICOM and RIS connectivity available.

Flexavision HB Package - An I.I. based system with digital fluoroscopy and a Spot Film Device for cassette and CR based radiography. An integrated Digital Imaging System provides digital series and spot imaging with DICOM and RIS connectivity available.

Flexavision FD Package - An I.I. based system with digital fluoroscopy and an integrated Digital Imaging System provides digital series and spot imaging with DICOM and RIS connectivity available.

Flexavision SF Package - An I.I. based system with digital fluoroscopy and a Spot Film Device for cassette and CR based radiography.

The Flexavision system offer a large range of system movements to provide patient coverage, including the optional table height adjustment and the X-ray tube that can be rotated to perform out of bucky and wall stand imaging.

The Flexavision DR is a new concept in "Hybrid DR" rooms, which is no longer a conventional Fluoroscopy System, but a new DR system with fluoroscopy capability, covering a wide range of General Radiography exams with DR workflow while also being able to perform routine fluoroscopic examinations.

The "2 in 1", R + F Hybrid DR system provides higher Productivity and Flexibility within your department.

Large FOV Radiography with High Image Quality

The large 14" x 17" Field of View Wireless Flat Panel Detector supports various radiography procedures, including thorax, emergency cases, DIP/IVP or Barium Enema (lower GI) studies with its full clinical coverage as well as high image quality.

Flexible Radiography in Various Positions

A wide range of radiography procedures in flexible positions for Orthopaedics or Traumatology on the table, off the table, out of bucky or in the bucky wall stand, are supported by the Wireless FPD.

With the X-ray tube rotation features of Flexavision or in conjunction with our ceiling-suspended 2nd X-ray tube, additional functionality and flexibility is easily achieved.

Spot Film Device

The Spot Film Device (SFD) is a useful structure automatically conveying the FPD to the radiography imaging position immediately when the exposure switch is pushed during fluoroscopy. This supports your radiography by providing rapid imaging response timing.

Efficient Examination Workflow

The Controls for FLEXAVISION R/F table operation, the DR system and the high-voltage X-ray generator are located in a single operation console to ensure a smooth and accurate workflow for all types of examinations.

Connectivity

Workflow is further enhanced through the connection to PACS, providing Worklist and DICOM functionality ensuring an overall high-quality workflow.

Flexavision provides outstanding image quality. The high-performance, 1-megapixel CCD camera (HB, FD types) allows 1024 x 1024 matrix and 12-bit (4096 gradation) imaging This ensures image quality of high definition and resolution. Shimadzu's digital processing is applied to suppress halation and provide clear images with superb contrast for real-time image review.

Cassette Spot Filming

Flexavision HB also has a spot film device (SFD) that support multi size cassette up to 14" x 17".
The cassette is easily loaded from the front without a cassette tray and kept out of the fluoroscopy path in a parking position.  The cassette is then rapidly moved from the parking to the exposure position when an exposure is made.

Efficient Examination Workflow

The Controls for Flexavision R/F table operation and the high-voltage X-ray generator are concentrated in a single operation console to ensure a smooth and accurate workflow for all types of examinations.

Systems incorporating a digital image processor use the highly flexible Windows® operating system to provide real-time image viewing via simple mouse or keyboard operation. Optional DICOM compatibility including worklist, simplifies printing and image transfer to a PACS network, ensuring an overall high-quality workflow.

The high frequency, high voltage generator includes up to 400 examination protocols (APR”s) providing excellent automatic operation with full manual control available at any time during the procedures.  The desired APR is selectable on either the wall mounted generator console or on the digital imaging system.

The X-ray generator is of modern high frequency design running at an inverter frequency of 50kHz.  This ensures stable exposures and reproducible results.

    Standby        Ready          Expose

The X-ray generator is designed to illuminate and produce an audible tone to indicate the current exposure status to the operator.  The chosen colour and audible tone is customisable to your preferences and will be set up during the system commissioning and applications training.  In addition, the actual hand switch illuminates as a status indicator to the operator.

Designed for easy operation the X-ray generator incorporates both touch panel and hybrid dials.  This touch panel is intended for easy selection of pre-programmed parameters (APRs) while the hybrid dials allow rapid or precise changes to be made to the exposure setting.  In this case, the jog/shuttle provides rapid changes to be made with precise changes made on the centre up/down buttons.
